With the first 2 weeks of an intense Japan tour behind me, all is set for the final show. At this point all I can say is that the hours of train rides, sleep deprivation and dragging my gear to the remotest of places has been well worth it, as I’ve played some of the most enjoyable gigs in my life on this tour. I’ve been able to share the stage with like minded musicians and meet some amazing people. I would have to say that the greatest discovery for me have been the mysterious Kagoshima band Futtachi, who’s minimal psyched out drone performances really made my blood freeze.

After testing the limits of PA systems and bass amps in tiny punk venues, it’s mostly the chatarsic release of noise that I’m looking forward to in the legendary 20000V, one of Tokyo’s loudest and harshest live houses. This is the place where I first met Praha Depart and have seen dozens of mind blowing gigs. As so many of my favourite artists have come out of the 20000V heavy alternative music school, it represents the ultimate challenge to me. If anywhere, the Mind Business record has to sound good there. Adding to the anticipation is the fact that I’ll be reunited with my good friends Jebiotto, champions of reckless and cheerful noisemaking.

Join us on Saturday the 29th and let’s finish this tour off with a blast!
